Tourism can heavily influence local economies.The industry is also shaped by macroeconomic issues of tourism finance economic policy. Which is why we study the institutions financing tourism – international and national, and their policies that further shape tourism policy making, tourism development and local communities.
We also want to understand corporate accountability in the tourism industry about land, labour, human resources, environmental sustainability and relationships with the local communities.
